Back Azimuth is committed to safeguarding your privacy on-line. The following page details our privacy policy. For the purpose of this Privacy Statement “Back Azimuth” shall mean “Back Azimuth Consulting” and “VOCDMS.com.”   This policy may change from time to time so please re-read this policy periodically. The date of the last update is noted at the end of the page.

 

What We Gather From You

Our site collects information in several ways. When you or your organization signs up with our VOCDMS Keyword Management services, you or your companies authorized representative(s) are required to complete a user rights form to give you login access to the application.

Back Azimuth only requests your “Contact Information” consisting of you First and Last name and company email address. No financial information (such as payment details and credit card details) your address, phone number or any other personal information is collected or stored in our VOCDMS system.

Review and Update Information: If you wish to review or update your account details, simply sign-in to your account and click “Manage” in the upper right of the main navigation once you log into the application. Then click “Users” and click your name. You may update your information any time. Should you encounter problems with updating your profile, please send an email to support@vocdms.com, and our Support Team will be glad to assist you.

 

Information Use

User Profile: We store information that we collect through login, changes to your data maintained in our system.

Your profile consists of stored information that we keep on individual users that details their utilization of the tool and any changes they may make to their company data. Consequently, collected information is tied to the users personally identifiable information to improve the features and functions of the site and for the user. We do not share your profile with other third parties.

Cookies: A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We currently use cookies on this site to allow you to remember your login information as well as default menu and dashboard features.

Log Files: Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

We use a user action tracking utility called “WebVisor” that records user actions to monitor mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling while using the application. This does not use personally identifiable information just IP and a random session ID. This helps us understand how users use the application so that we can make improvements to functions and user experience.

Communications from the Site

Service Announcements: On rare occasions it is necessary to send out service related announcements notifying users of system maintenance or other system-wide issues. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.

Customer Service: We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users wishes.

 

Sharing of Information

Contact Information collected is used only for setting up your access to the service and conveying information about user accessible reports and accounts.

Shared Data: We do we share your Contact Information anyone. The contact information you or your organization has provided will not be made publicly available, nor sold to third parties.

Legal Disclaimer: Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.

Service Abuse & Trademark Violations: Back Azimuth may disclose this contact information in special cases where we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our terms and conditions of use or may be causing injury or interference with our rights, property, our customers or anyone who could be harmed by such activities.

Third Party Advertisers: Back Azimuth have Third Party advertisers and therefore DOES NOT share, sell, rent or trade Web site usage information about users with any third party.

Business Transitions: In the event Back Azimuth goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users personal information will be part of the assets transferred. In the event of a related business transition, this privacy policy will reflect any changes.

Security

Our site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our user access management system uses a SSL secure server with digital certificates and all personal information is fully encrypted during all transactions.

Please note, however, that no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure. As a result, while we attempt to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us and you transmit such information to us at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission we attempt to ensure the security of your personal information on our systems.

Password Protection: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur using your password or account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security. Back Azimuth will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of any third party’s use of your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. You may not use anyone else’s password at any time.

If at some point in the future, there is a change to our privacy policy that will affect your personal information, we will notify you by email of the relevant changes.
